Antonio Jimenez Marin performs “The Green Lion eats the Sun” (2014) by Australian composer Liza LIM at the Musik-Akademie Basel on Saturday the 22nd October 2022.
Antonio plays on a double-bell instrument completely customized by American brass builder Kevin Toksöz Fairbairn.

New work for voice soprano and trombone, based on the famous “Karawane” from Hugo Ball (1886-1927) and a nonsense compilation of recent words from the world of news papa eres. Under the tittle Karawane, Ball´s text reinvented a meaningless language, also known as Lautsprache. Written for the singer Viviane Singer and Antonio himself, this new work will be part of a program devoted to voice and trombone, alongside original works by Furrer and Aguirre (world première).
