Spanish trombonist, improviser, and cultural manager Antonio Marin is recognized for his fearless musical exploration and “captivating performances“ (Neue Musikzeitung). His work bridges avant-garde, contemporary, classical, improvised, and traditional music through a strong commitment to collaboration and experimentation.
As a soloist and chamber musician, he is currently engaged, or has recently been engaged at leading venues and festivals including the Zürich Opera House, Lucerne Festival, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Kölner Philharmonie, Wiener Festwochen and Wien Modern (Austria), casa da música (Portugal), Biennale di Venezia (Italy), Ryad Opera House (Saudi Arabia), Vendsyssel Festival (Denmark), Huddersfield and Aldeburgh Music Festival (UK). He is a member of Duo Hekate and Zappalot Band.
In 2026, Antonio Marin continues to premiere new works by composers including Simon Steen-Andersen, Louis Aguirre, Tze Yeung Ho, Philipp Henkel, George Lewis, and Richard Greer.
