Spanish trombonist, educator, improviser, and cultural manager Antonio Marin is recognized for his fearless musical exploration and “captivating performances“ (Neue Musikzeitung). His work bridges avant-garde, contemporary, classical, improvised, and traditional music through a strong commitment to collaboration and experimentation.
As a soloist and chamber musician, he performs at leading venues and festivals such as the Zürich Opera House, Lucerne Festival, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Kölner Philharmonie, Wiener Festwochen, Wien Modern and Salzburger Festspiele (Austria), casa da música (Portugal), Biennale di Venezia (Italy), Ryad Opera House (Saudi Arabia), Vendsyssel Festival (Denmark), Huddersfield and Aldeburgh Music Festival (UK). He is a member of Duo Hekate and Zappalot Band.
In 2026, Antonio Marin continues to premiere new works by composers including Simon Steen-Andersen, Louis Aguirre, Tze Yeung Ho, Philipp Henkel, George Lewis, and Richard Greer.
