The Halberstadt audience experienced the world premiere of “Mini Karussell”, a duo for soprano voice and trombone composed by Antonio Marin and inspired by a Dadaist text from Hugo Ball. Dedicated to the singer Viviane Hasler, the piece was performed by the Italian soprano Eleonora Claps and Antonio Marin himself.
This Matinée concert was part of the prestigious John Cage Prize 2023, and took place a day before the historic Cage chord change in Halberstadt. Alongside “Mini Karussell”, Antonio performed “The Green Lion Eats the Sun” by Liza Lim and “Sequenza V” by Berio.
