Welcome to The New Music Suitcase, a playful approach to exploring extended techniques for brass players – starting at the very beginning of their musical journey.

Too often, techniques like air sounds, multiphonics, or slaps are seen as “advanced” for specialists. But what if we introduced these sounds early on? That’s exactly what The New Music Suitcase is all about.

This series of short videos introduces extended techniques through minimal words, sound metaphors and sonic imagery. Each video becomes a miniature adventure – sometimes fun, sometimes simply driven by curiosity, and always grounded in the sounds of everyday life.
