Following his one-year residency at the International Ensemble Modern Academy (2013/14), Antonio Marin is a frequent guest of Ensemble Modern.
Antonio Marin also appears as a guest trombonist with many leading orchestras and ensembles for contemporary music, including the Zurich Opera House, Ensemble Phoenix Basel, Collegium Novum Zürich, Basel Sinfonietta, Nouvel Ensemble Contemporain (La Chaux-de-Fonds), Dresdner Sinfoniker, Remix Ensemble Casa da Música (Porto), BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Filarmónica de Gran Canaria, Orquesta Ciudad de Granada, and the Orchestra of Teatro La Fenice in Venice. He is also active in various new chamber music projects, including the Brass Quintet of the Argovia Philharmonic and his own HEKATE DUO for voice and trombone, together with singer Viviane Hasler. In addition, Antonio Marin is involved in jazz crossover and free improvisation projects. He collaborates, among others, with guitarist Sandro Giampietro (Helge Schneider Band), with whom he appeared as a headliner at the Zappanale Festival in 2025. During the 2025/26 season, he will perform at the Zurich Opera House in Wie du warst by Simon Steen-Andersen, as well as presenting different chamber and solo programs at the Tonkunst Festival in Konstanz and the Vendsyssel Festival in Denmark.
Antonio Marin studied Music Theory and Trombone at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Granada, followed by Trombone and Chamber Music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow with Simon Johnson (London Symphony Orchestra) and John Kenny. During his time in Scotland, he was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland and the Britten–Pears Young Artist Programme.
